History
About Lou.
My work as a director, creative leader, educator and designer in New York, the United States, Europe and Asia has been intentionally broad in style and skills required. I have applied my experience in literature and classical language, acting and movement methodologies, music and design to productions of classics, new plays, musicals and music-driven pieces, re-imagined revivals, period plays, and live concert events.
Driven by the clash and convergence of opposing forces, between the ancient and the modern, history and the future, I seek to create events that summon confrontation of and conversation with the past, the present and the future.
I have taken all my lifetime of theatre experience and training and live events, and expanded that courageous and creative leadership into a long record of innovation in program design, administration, transformative fund raising, community outreach, EID advancement in the arts and interdisciplinary synthesis. My career has been about viewing challenges from all possible angles, leveraging and maximizing all resources into paradigm shifting creative solutions and organizational transformation.
My other passions and daily practices are yoga, meditation, and motor + human powered adventures on two wheels. The greatest of all are my wife and two sons who were born five minutes apart.
